Our shop carries a unique selection of merchandise that is unavailable or hard to obtain elsewhere. We sell a wide selection of Ethnobotanicals, Most of these herbs are only available on the internet at an extremely high price. Our prices are kept low by avoiding middlemen. Although some of our herbs are purchased through wholesalers, the majority are sourced directly from the country or native group that produces the herb. We import directly from Thailand, India, Peru, South Africa and Mexico. These herbs have a long history of shamanistic uses amongst tribal groups such as the Mazatec and Chotal Indians of the Sierra Madre mountains in Mexico and numerous other Aboriginal peoples from around the world. Many of these herbs have identical, similar or stronger effects than other herbs, such as marijuana, opium poppy, or coca leaf which are currently prohibited by our big brother state through their use of draconian criminal sanctions against individuals daring to alter their conscious without the use of big pharma prescription chemical drugs. All of the herbs offered at our store are currently legal in Canada. Our store is located in Etobicoke on Lakeshore Blvd. We are between Royal York and Islington on the South side of the road. A block to the South of the store is a delightful little park on the shore of Lake Ontario. Across the street is a Liquor store. Two doors away there is a Pizza Hut and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Just down the way is a Raunchy Ronny (aka McDonalds). We share a building with a great Polish bakery and, on the other side, a fantastic Polish deli. It is an excellent neighbourhood. A street car stops in front of our block. Come visit us and our neighbours. Our store is dedicated to the idea of personal freedom and civil rights: We believe that in an era where corporations increasingly demand privatization of public space and property; where intellectual property law is extended beyond reasonable limits and used to limit language and access to ideas and inventions; where giant pharmaceutical corporations foist chemical drugs upon every man, woman and child and pressure governments to limit access to herbal medicines; where draconian criminal law restricts personal freedom to grow or ingest herbal substances of our choosing by imposing penalties which sometimes - especially in the United States - exceed those penalties imposed for murder and rape; where governments act not in the interest of people but in the interest of the corporation - nor even acknowledge a difference between people or corporations; where books are banned - often not by law but by customs officers exercising their 'discretion' or by corporations refusing to carry such titles; in such an era, the intent of our store is to be an oasis of quiet rebellion. Accordingly, in our little store you will find merchandise not offered elsewhere. You will find all sorts of cannabis culture related merchandise, banned books, and herbs prized by many Aboriginal groups as plant teachers. We hope to see you in person at our store.
